About Us
Stanmark Processors Company Limited (SMP) is a family-run Jamaican food manufacturing company and international food distributor. In addition to providing quality Jamaican food to wholesale distributors and supermarkets island wide, we export a variety of products to Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States. We are one of only six Caribbean food processing companies to be HACCP approved by the United States FDA (May, 2007). SMP is also approved by the Jamaica Bureau of Standards, holding a process food exception recognition allowing us to ship ackees to the United States without physical examination of the products.
SMP was founded as Fletcher Bowman, Ltd. In the late 1960s. It was acquired by Mr. K.R.B. Lee in 1985. Fletcher Bowman was purchased by Meera Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (SMP's holding company), in 1991, changing the name of the processing plant to Stanmark Processors Company Limited in June, 2002. Since then the Stanmark family has been striving to provide the caribbean community nothing but excellence.
